Vivacity was formed with a solid foundation of an experienced executive team that averages more than a decade of direct experience as owners, operators and developers within the land lease and residential sectors.

We are passionate about developing and operating lifestyle communities that provide a safe, friendly and interactive living for independent over 50s in highly desirable retirement locations.

Our executives have delivered and operated more than 10,000 residential and land lease community dwellings.

Meet the Team

Jonathon Steggles Mendez
Managing Director

Jonathon Steggles Mendez

Jonathon has extensive experience in the property industry, specialising in residential land lease communities. Prior to founding Vivacity Jonathon led the acquisition and development team for an ASX listed land lease operator, overseeing the acquisition portfolio, development portfolios and managing joint venture relationships. For Jonathon the connection with family and friends drives his vision for Vivacity and the communities it creates.

He holds an Australian Institute of Company Directors membership, Bachelor of Business Management and a Masters in Finance.

Development Director

John Rowley

John has 20+ years in the property industry, specialising in the delivery of large-scale projects across residential communities, seniors living and commercial precincts. Prior to Vivacity, John held senior development management roles with several large private developers and delivered 2,000+ residential lots. John also held the position of senior development manager of new communities for an ASX listed land lease operator. John values the enjoyment and positive outcomes that his communities create for all residents.

John holds a First Class Honours Degree in Construction Management.

Marketing and Sales Director

Janine Spencer

Janine has 15+ years in the property industry in Australia and the Middle East, specialising in seniors living. Previously, Janine held Senior Marketing roles in top ASX companies in sales, marketing and digital transformation. For Janine, delivering excellence in marketing and sales is all about understanding the customer. She is constantly challenging the status quo of the customer journey to deliver tailored solutions and positive customer experiences.

Janine holds a Bachelor of Business, Strategic Marketing Management from Harvard Business School and Digital Strategy from Columbia University.

Planning Manager

Tom Copping

Tom Copping is seasoned planning and development professional with in-depth experience providing planning and development advice. Tom has held senior planning roles with private developers, NSW state government and local councils to successfully manage and deliver large and complex residential rezoning and development approvals. Tom enjoys conceptualising new community masterplans and collaborating with all stakeholders to achieve outstanding outcomes. Tom is responsible for managing all planning activities from site acquisition assessments to masterplan and construction approval.

Tom holds a Bachelor of Town Planning (Honours).

Michael Hadley
Financial Controller

Michael Haldey

With 20+ years of experience, Michael brings a wealth of experience in project accounting, cost controls, feasibilities, risk assessment and development of project exit strategies. Prior to joining Vivacity, Michael held senior roles for several leading private development/construction companies, where he successfully delivered a variety of projects. Michael enjoys creating value through proper processes and information systems that deliver timely and accurate information to stakeholders. Michael is a Certified Practising Accountant and a Chartered Tax Advisor. He holds university degrees in accounting and IT.
